Couples Counseling

There are times when our relationships seem like they are at an impasse. It’s times like this when we can really benefit from having a trained individual serve as a neutral, confidential sounding board. The initial appointment is done with both partners present. As in individual counseling, a history is taken and preliminary goal setting is accomplished. Sometimes, a combination of individual and couples counseling may be recommended depending on the presenting problems or the judgment of the counselor. As always, your comfort level with your counselor is what is most important. 

Please note: Some insurance companies do not reimburse for couples counseling and so we may be required to identify one individual as the “client” for billing purposes.
